5-minute Installation Guide for Octivetech 300bh and 300ih Hand Held Oximeter

Both OctiveTech 300BH and 300IH hand held pulse oximeter have the capability to download Pulse Rate and SpO2 data stored in the unit to a computer for detail analysis.

The data transfer procedure is pretty straightforward. The following 5-minute installation guide is provided to walk user through the installation procedure.

System Requirements
- IBM compatible computer
- Windows 2000 or XP operating system
- 2 available USB ports
- 1 CD drive
- You Must Have system administrator privilege to do the installation.

Installation Procedure
- Stop!!! Order matters! You need to install Data Transfer and Analysis software first. then install USB Dongle dogkey driver, and install USB data cable drive in the last step.

Install Data Transfer and Analysis Software
- Stop!!! Do not connect USB data cable or USB dongle dogkey to your computer before installion.
- Insert CD into your CD drive, under windows 2000 or XP system, an autostart installation interface will pop up. Choose Install MedView Software Ver: 1.3.5 option as shown below.
- Click on "Next" button to go to the next step.
- Click on "Yes" button to agree the license.
- Click on "Next" button to install the software into default path.
- We strongly recommend you to choose "Typical" installation option because it will install most of the components with less hassle. Then click on "Next" button to go to the next step.
- Click on "Next" button to choose the default program folder. You can change the name as you like.
- Now, you are in the final confirmation window. You can choose "Next" button to start the installation, or choose "Back" button to change the previouse setting. If you decide to cancel installation process, you can choose "Cancel" button to exit installation.
- Installation in progress. Please do NOT Click on "Cancel" button unless you want to cancel the installation.
- Click on "Finish" button to finish the installation for Data Transfer and Analysis Software.

Install USB Dongle Dogkey Driver
- Stop!!! Do not connect USB data cable or USB dongle dogkey to your computer before installion.
- Click on "Install DogKey Driver Ver: 4.0" to install DogKey Driver
- Click on "Install Driver" button on the left bottom corner of the interface to install USB dogkey dongle driver.
- Once the driver is installed successfully, a message "The driver has been installed successfully" message will show in driver status zone in the middle of the window. Click on "Exit" button to finish the installation and exit window.

Install USB Data Cable Driver
- Stop!!! Do not connect USB data cable or USB dongle dogkey to your computer before installion.
- Click on "Install UsbDriver" to install USB Data Cable Driver
- Click on "Next" button to start the installation.
- Choose "I agree the license" and click on "Next" button to continue the installation.
- Click on "Next" button to install the driver to default path which is "C:siLabsMCUCP210x".
- Click on "Install" button to copy the software to your computer hard drive. You can choose back to adjust the previouse setting.
- Installation in progress. Please do NOT Click on "Cancel" button unless you want to cancel the installation.
- USB Data Cable Driver Installation done.

Verify Installation
- Stop!!! Now you can connect USB dongle dogkey, pulse oximeter via USB data cable to your PC. But please TURN OFF your oximeter before connecting to the computer.
- Once you hook up the oximeter and the dogkey to your computer, go to "Control Panel" -> "Administrative Tools" -> "Devices Manager"
- If USB dongle dogkey was installed successfully, you can find "MicroDog USB Device" as following
- If the data cable was installed successfully, you can find "CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller" as following.

Data Transfer and Analysis Software Configuration
- Ok. Now you can POWER ON the oximeter for data transfer
- Open MedView data transfer and analysis software. Click on "Options" menu and choose "COM Setup" option. Leave "ComPort" option unchanged in the popup window, set Baud rate to 9600 for OctiveTech 300BH pulse oximeter and 11520 for OctiveTech 300IH pulse oximeter.
- Congratulations! You are all set. Once you transfer the data to your computer, you can perform detail analysis using your computer.

Trouble Shooting
- Make sure that you have system administrator privilege to install the software and drivers.
- Make sure that USB dongle dogkey and pulse oximeter are connected to your computer.
- Make sure that pulse oximeter ALREADY has some data recorded.
- Make sure that pulse oximeter is POWER ON.
- If you computer still cannot recognizae the dogkey and data cable as shown in step 6 "Verify Installation", or shows something like the following screenshot
- you should go to "Control Panel" -> "Install New Hardware" and start the installation wizard as shown below.
- Go to the path as shown in the following window and install driver again. After that, please reboot your computer to resolve the problem.
